At Home in the Highlands

At Home in the Highlands

You are there in the moment, in each sweet highland moment

The shapes of the mountains

The kiss of soft raindrops

The tang of salt water

The dance of the grasses that play in the breeze

The call of the wading birds out on the mudflats

The light falling softly as day closes in

The clouds scudding fast

The skies ever changing

The wind in my hair

The love in my eyes as I stop by the roadside

As I lie down in grasses to capture the moment

As I look through my lenses to capture your beauty

As I laugh with delight at the gifts that I find here

As my eyes fill with salt tears

As I breathe in and wonder

As I know I have found you

As I wind my way home.

    Thank you Joanna.

    This is so beautiful.

It is wonderfully inspiring and fulfilling to connect in with your joy of “sweet highland moments”.

Makes me feel I’ve had a quick spiritual visit to my heart’s home too.

    xx
